Half Moon Bay Sign Code

De Novo Planning Group prepared a complete update and re-write of the City of Half Moon Bay’s Sign Code. Members of the public and business community had expressed various concerns with the Sign Code and staff identified key issues associated with its implementation.  De Novo facilitated several workshops with the community and decision-makers to identify all issues and also met with the business community to ensure a complete understanding of concerns related to signage.  The Sign Code update included the following components:  General Provisions, Exempt and Prohibited Signs, Permits, Fees, Inspections, and Approvals, Signs Requiring a Permit, General Sign Requirements, Special Sign Programs, and Definitions.  De Novo prepared provisions for a wayfinding signage program at no additional cost.
